Tubs and locations
Every item has a home. You decide where.
Assign each item to a tub, shelf, or bin in a location you name. Spare room, shed, garage, lock-up: the system doesn't care how big you are, only that everything has a place.
The intake queue keeps new finds visible until they're placed, so nothing quietly disappears back into the pile.

Storage in Deathpile mirrors your real setup. You define the locations, you define the container types, and every tub gets a short code like GARTB1 that means something: Garage, clear tub, number one. No warehouse jargon, no forced hierarchy.
Container types carry simple capacity estimates, so the Space page can tell you what's full, what has room, and where an incoming item should go. When you place new stock, Deathpile recommends tubs with space instead of making you guess.
